Kiwi North - Heritage Park
The Heritage Park at Kiwi North has a collection of historic buildings demonstrating Northland’s early colonial architectural history between the late 1850s to the early 1900s.
Be amazed (or appalled) at the scale of New Zealand's first women's prison.
This park has large grassy areas and loads of spaces for the children to explore. It also sits beside the Kiwi House, Museum and the native bird recovery centre.
We have visited Kiwi North with our two young children on many occasions and have always found staff and volunteers go above and beyond to ensure guests have an enjoyable time.
A perfect option for a day out.
